Joshua James, MD
Dr. James completed medical school at Texas A&M School of Medicine and did his psychiatric residency at UT Health in San Antonio. He is licensed in Colorado, Texas, Utah, Alabama and Pennsylvania. He specializes in helping people who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD, but can treat other mental health afflictions as well.
Dr. James strives to get his patients on the road to feeling like the best version of themself as quickly as possible. He accomplishes this by listening to their concerns, their goals, and their preferences regarding treatment and integrating that into a treatment plan that patients feel comfortable with, explaining every step along the way.
Madeleine Nelson, PA
Maddie is a certified Physician Assistant with a background in addiction medicine, behavioral health, and internal medicine. She completed her training at Colorado Mesa University and has worked with patients across a wide range of settings, from inpatient hospital care to outpatient psychiatry. She has particular interest in treating substance use disorders and has completed additional training in medication-assisted treatment. Her clinical research has focused on innovative therapies for alcohol use disorder, including ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and psychedelic medicine.
Maddie focuses on creating a comfortable, collaborative environment where patients feel heard and supported. She believes care should be tailored to each person’s goals and preferences, and takes a thoughtful, personalized approach to helping people feel their best.
Originally from Illinois, Maddie moved to the Colorado mountains in 2020. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running and hiking with her dog Bailey, and competing in triathlons—including Ironman races.
